Interesting. Computer Management under My Computer shows 127.99 allocated to C: drive and another 104.89 unallocated.
So how do I allocate it?

This article describes the Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) 48-bit Logical Block Addressing (LBA) support for ATA Packet Interface (ATAPI) disk drives that can increase the capacity of your hard disk to more than the current 137 gigabyte (GB) limit.
Note Windows XP does not support 48-bit LBA support unless you are running Windows XP SP1. If you want to use 48-bit LBA support, you must apply Windows XP SP1 or later. Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows XP Tablet PC Edition already include SP1.

Read up on Q303013
1. Install Windows XP SP1
2. Make sure Atapi.sys in your %systemroot%\system32\drivers folder is version 5.1.2600.1135. If not go to Q331958(I had to do that)
3. Regedit. Add [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Atapi\Parameters]
EnableBigLba Dword 1
That's it If you have problem with my instructions read the references
Addition:
A) Check #2.
B) Before installing OS make sure your patitions are smaller than 137 GB. After you install check #1-#3 then partiton the whole HD. Easiest way is just have one small partition 30 GB when you install OS.
