The online test is flawed, you can do the test, write down the answers, do the test again and get a higher score. Does that show you to be of higher intelligence so you can figure out the right answers??lol

The thing about these tests is that most of it is short term memory and yeah, I know, short term memory is supposedly a sign of intelligence. But I tell you: I might not remember in 5 minutes, but come to me 2 days later and I can draw you a photo reproduction of what you were wearing, what you said to a letter, and where the fuck waldo was.....

Just saying: I did an iq test where I used to work (corporate) like 20 yrs ago. Along with one of those personality tests that asked: what do you see in yourself? what do you hope other people see in yourself, what do you believe other people see in you? Anyhow, I did the test, they got the score back (didn't tell me what it was). Called me down, did the test again, got the score back told me what it was, I shrugged my shoulders and went back to work.

Didn't know until 5 yrs ago what my score meant...Since I have? I don't trust IQ tests.......

Well, I am getting old for sure. I got 128, and all the questions I missed were due to time running out. When I was 20, I could think really quickly, evidently not anymore.

Came within a point of where I guessed I'd be. Struggled but absolutely failed to force the slightest interest in anything to do with a movie trailer for a film I could tell after two seconds I'd never want to see ever, and only got the radio studio clip because I like Nora Young. Talk about culturally biased testing! Took way too long to get the 'next in series' I used to ace when younger and I question whether all the possible positional ambiguities in the photo-tiles were intended, or poor question design, but that too was a surprise low score.

But as they didn't have an options for my hair colour (gone), most likely choice of book (any) or political party (none), who can have any faith in the resulting stats at all?

123 and the direction test fucked me over as I got none of them

With the puzzle piece if you were smart you would memorize a few pieces instead of trying for them all

Same with the videos just memorize what you can and hope hope answer is in them if not then guess

read a couple of questions wrong which I suppose is part of the test

Did perfect with analogies so I guess that part of my brain is the best part

Personality "tests" and IQ tests are nothing alike and cannot be compared. IQ and memory (not only short term memory) may be highly correlated because one has to be able to retain information before they can synthesize it.

Wow I'm the lowest (or at least the most honest). 109

Mind you I'm running on about 4 hrs sleep so I'm definitely not as alert as normal........no excuses though.

I found the sense of direction and math tests the easiest, I scored perfect. I got killed on the video memorization, only 1 right.

Well, keep in mind that those who score low probably are less likely to post their results. 109 still places you in the high range...

I estimated my IQat 135 prior. My score was lower than that but higher than what I thought i got immediately after finishing. I got 130, but thought I'd blown it. My worst were the missing puzzle, 1/3 and the Memory:images 3/6. I guess I'm not a very visual person.

I'm not sure this test can be used as an accurate measurement. In a more standardized and thorough Mensa-administered test, I scored a 132; I got a 116 on this test.

Same here I got into MENSA with 132 and the requrement is 130

I just scored 115

I think the flaw is the time element

In regular testing there is not so much time pressure on every individual question so you do the easy ones then come back to the hard ones
but on a TV test I suppose they have to make this compromise which weakens the test

More importantly I prepared for MENSA by practising ( is that cheating ?) which I am sure helped

All tests have flaws but they have proven to be accurate in the sense of you are at least this smart and maybe even smarter

They have emperical data behind them but their major flaw is usually one of social bias

I scored a 143 on a standardized test a few years ago; a 135 on this one... Either I'm getting dumber, or was having a good day when I wrote the first one. LOL - or both, which is most likely... ;)
