Now I'm just waiting for Samsung to announce that since Apple doesn't have NFC, they are going to get rid of theirs.

Then OTB and me can switch end zones and start the second half debate from different directions. :D

I knew the fanboy would cover his sorry ass... Silly 2-faced fool. He was against Apple having anything to do with it before and now he's all for it just because he's nothing but a brainwashed sheep fanboi.

Now man up and answer Tesla's question about your age loser.

Okay, I've tried to be diplomatic in the face of your ludicrous arguments put forward based solely on trying every stupid, nonsensical and completely irrational excuse to steer around the obvious fact that Apple has fucked up and once again iPhone users are holders of technology at least 4 years behind the market (& technology) leaders. What an arrogant if not revealing ignorant statement ... Apple is necessary for NFC to exist ? Newsflash - Apple is going to NFC so that the company is still relevant. The NFC is currently in use world-wide - mobile payments are available through two Canadian banks but there no 'real' users because Apple iPhone users are incapable of participating through self-inflected market ignorance ???? The large 'follow-me sheep' have to be lead to the trough because they are so incapable of making there own minds up ?

You argument that Apple is a hundred gazzion dollar company actually is the biggest telltale sign that you are a sheep in capable of making evaluations instead of excuses. The size of a company - like a religion - only measures the sheep who follow - not the thinkers who lead.

Apple catches the NFC train long after it has left the station and if it proves one thing - every dumb excuse against NFC (including Apple's market cap) has blown up in your face. To suggest that the NFC technology is only gaining credibility through Apple's reversal in NFC position - is a dumb if not arrogant statement.

Apple's recent reversal in NFC and your stubborn support of Apple in the face of market realities does reinforce my opinion that whenever I come across an iPhone user, I am looking at a crowd follower incapable of handling independent thought.

NFC has failed as a mobile payments technology, that's simply a fact. For example:

http://technewsx1.blogspot.it/2013/06/nfc-failed.html

http://whatsyourtech.ca/2014/04/22/why-nfc-failed-to-push-mobile-payments-forward/

Could the technology catch - perhaps, clearly single bank wallets, Android support have been about as successful as a Samsung smart watch.

Apple has a good shot at bringing a complete solution to market, like they did with MP3 players and the tablet. We'll see.

I'm shocked that with your brainwashed mind you didn't assert that Apple created NFC but 'let' the other companies try it 'first' knowing beforehand that they would fail, hence leaving them to come in late to the game and save the day as planned yrs ago.... :p I mean that's basically with your fanboi friend 5hummer said about larger screen sizes.

Idiot!

Funny thing though, Apple apparently has over 20 patents in relation to NFC yet onthebottom [from what I gather in some of everyone's replies here] railed on it, or balked at the idea. So really, it seems like he is a blind follower for the simple fact that a "real" devout apple person would know about Apple's NFC patents.

I suppose you are correct IM469, a crowd follower he is.

So simplistic you guys are.

NFC is a very powerful technology and has great opportunity to disrupt / impact the mobile payments market. Mobile payments are much more complex than a simple wireless messaging standard - which is why we've yet to find anyone on TERB who's processed a transaction with their phone using NFC. There are many issues, merchant adoption, wallet standards (particularly as you look beyond a single bank relationship), competition from contact-less (NFC) cards.... Adoption of NFC for Payments on Phones has been a disappointment/failure - that's simply a fact - to deny it is akin to being a climate change denier.

I do think Apple will get into the mobile payments space, I think they'll use NFC, and I think you'll see adoption surge when that happens. Not because I think they'll do anything with the technology but because they'll address some of these other issues. Apple has a good track record of thinking through these inflection points, you've seen it with digital music, the smartphone, the tablet... They don't always get it right but they hit more balls than they miss.

Just admit what we all see fanboi... That you're just doing an about face 'now' because Apple is on board with it... Lame , lame , lame. Just goes to show you're what Tesla and IM said..

That you're a follower. In your case I'd prefer the word 'sheeple'.

Who the f*ck is looking ? It is here ! I have friends who have used it. To suggest that CIBC, RBC & hundreds of banks worldwide are waiting for Apple is obviously flawed since the product is WORKING NOW !!

Do you think I'm running out to get it personally because you don't believe the press, media or banks themselves that it is a product available ???

WAKE UP !!!! F*cking sad ...... like arguing with my grandfather that people can carry phones in their pockets.

It's dead, everyone who knows anything about mobile payments (which apparently doesn't include you) knows it's dead, Forbes article a year ago: http://www.forbes.com/sites/tristanlouis/2013/05/11/are-nfc-payments-dead/

No amount of ridiculous font/color combinations will change the facts on the ground. This really is like a global warming debate, you can't get to the issue of what to do because some refuse to see the facts first that there is a problem.

One article probably written by an iPhone owner like yourself a year ago yet since then TWO CANADIAN BANKS HAVE INTRODUCED THE SERVICE IN THE LAST 6 MONTHS !!!!!!!

If it's dead - why are two Canadian banks introducing it ??? Why is Apple introducing it to the next generation of phones ????

The font is trying to state the obvious facts which seem to elude you - YOU ARE WRONG !!!!!!!!!! F*uck the articles ... look at the world around you !!!!!!

Now I'm beginning to understand why Apple has ardent fans to old technology - they refuse to open their eyes to better products.

See other thread, I declared victory too early on the color/font issue.

Let us hope you can declare victory on something other than Apple technology .. your record on that issue is pretty abysmal.
I've not spend much time talking about technology, I'm more interested in the strategy.

Finger print technology, 64 bit processors - Apple has plenty to talk about with technology (and a couple areas we can expect Samsung to chase), I just don't find technology alone very interesting.
