I'm horribly disapointed in the ravens, they were my preseason suprise playoff pick and I thought they might make a superbowl run. I am now going with the patriots in the AFC losing to the eagles.

If you don't care, why look at the thread?

...and as for the Ravens, as they were the only team in the AFC to legitimately beat my Broncos (Chiefs won on a freak play, and Pats on a huge comeback), I'm kinda glad they are out.

I chose Seattle not realizing they lost in OT to GB. Damn! Glad I didn't put any $ on them. :D

You son of a B...I hated the Seahawks until they switched conferences...now they were my fav in the NFC along with the Saints...that being said, my Broncos laid a big egg in Indy tonight as well...sucks to be me, I guess.

From this poll, so far, I'm seeing an awfully big lean towards the Pats winning their second in three years...I'd be really interested to see a Philly - Patriot final...mind you, I figure the Patriots would love to avenge their SB loss in '97 to the Patriots...otherwise, I'm sure they don't care who they play if they get through the AFC.

By that argument, KC fans would love a shot at the Pack as well, I suppose...ALL THOSE WHO REMEMBER SUPER BOWL I, RAISE YOUR HANDS....not many, I imagine.

Although New England and Philadelphia have the best momentum going into the playoffs, Tennessee looked great yesterday and Indianapolis looks unstoppable tonight.

I still want to see Kansas City vs. St Louis simply for the offense.

only problem with the pats is that they can't run against anyone and their playing the best run D in the NFL, meaning the Titans can play the pass knowing they can completely stop the run with 7 guys and maybe even 6, so Brady is gonna go through hell moving the ball.

How many in a row have the Pats won? Winning solves an awful lot of problems.

Interesting point about my Broncos...of all the playoff teams, they had the strongest schedule as their opponent's collective record is the only one at .500 or better (128-128-0).

yes KC and STL would be great...Rams have a better shot than KC though, KC's D is downright awful and they will lose next week...

and I believe it will be NE over Philly in the superbowl.

Sorry, Carolina is going to give the Rams fits - rember what Detroit did in the 2nd half in the Rams last game. Rams have real problems when they go up against a great defense. Take the points and pick Carolina.
Much as I'd like to believe this, the Panthers are a very young team in the playoffs, where as the Rams have an awful lot of experience to pull from. Regular season, I'd agree without hesitation with that big Panther d-line...but in the playoffs, there is a whole different level that the Rams will play to (similar to the Colts-Broncos game on Sunday). Unfortunately, I suspect the Panther's season ends on Saturday.

now that my Seahawks are out (can't be faulted for that game, what a great football game!), I only hope that Philly doesn't go. Man, I dunno why, but I just hate watching that team play this year. In fact, I didn't.

After all the hype, the Denver/Indy game was a wash, and I just don't believe we'll see the Indy/Tennessee game that I'd like to see played.

If the Pats win a solid, but not spectacular game, watch for them to go all the way. If they score the blowout or the OT winner, watch for the KC sandbag.

One final note, I'd like to see GB win the whole f'ing thing, I kinda dig that whole "team of destiny" thing, and then I won't feel so bad about Seattle taking them to the wire.

Maybe the Rams don't live up to their old nickname, but this is a much better defense than they sported the year they won it all...

However, if you want big upsets, I suspect we may see a Colt-Titan AFC Championship...I suspect the Pats may be ready for a let down, while the Chiefs are nowhere near the team we thought they were early in the season...

As well with the Rams vs. Packers in the NFC...I truly see the Rams winning again, now that my bias to the Broncos has been removed...and I just see Favre as playing out the season on an emotional high that started with his father's death.

New England and the Packers are the only teams with starting QBs that have actually won the big game...that is certainly something that cannot be ignored. OTOH, if either of those get knocked out this weekend, it could be wide open going into the conference finals.

The Packers have momentum, Favre has an emotional inspiration, and they have been underestimated all season long. And believe me, I am not a Packers fan (Go Lions!)

I was right, boy was I right! Now I have hefty sum for the Packer/Eagle game - I am leaning towards the Pack but I think my heart is leading me that way ( not a good reason to bet) so I need help I am willing to hear any opinion about this game.
i hate the fucking cheeseheads but i have to bet them at +5 1/2. i also like the over 50 1/2 in the Chiefs game.

You're not alone, bb....
If I hear of any support groups for the likes of us, I'll let you know....
There's something quite obscene about cheering for a team that's mathematically eliminated every Labour Day...
