Week 5 is done and we are past the 1/4 point of the season. The real teams come out to play at this point. The first few weeks are a mirage for many teams, good and bad.
AFC West :
The Bills are the class of the division, but the Patriots are on their heels only 1 game behind and have an extra road game win and so far the tie breaker. I dont think New England will win but in a poor performing AFC they have a great shot at the playoffs. Miami and New York are horrible.
AFC North : Easily the worst division in football. The Steelers should be able to take the division. Baltimore is horrible even with their starters in. Cleveland is typical Cleveland. The Bengals would have run away with the division if Joe Burrow didnt get injured
AFC South : So far the Colts are the biggest surprise in the league but the Jags quietly snuck up on them and both have a 4-1 record. The Texans arent out of it yet and crushed the Ravens. The only team out of this division is the Titans.
AFC West : Like the AFC South there are 3 teams with a legitimate shot to win the division. The Raiders are the only team not in contention. Will this finally be the year the Cheifs dont win ?
NFC East : Nobody would be surprised the Eagles are in the 1 spot and the Commanders #2, but both these teams have issues. Dallas looked pretty good the last 2 weeks but probably dont have much of a chance for the playoffs.
NFC North : The Packers were crowned as Superbowl champs week 1. How things have changed. Detroit is the best team in the league right now. The North is a very strong division but the Vikings and Bears fall short on the talent level.
NFC South : No real surprises here. The Bucs are the class of the division followed by the Falcons. The Panthers are surprisingly competitive and the Saints are as bad as expected.
NFC West : San Fran is 4-1 which is amazing considering their injuries. The Seahawks and Rams are playing very well. The Cards still have a shot but its slipping away from them.
