Confronting car thieves is risky. The car owner risked getting hurt or worse.

I don't understand why people risk their lives for property. Just let them steal it and deal with insurance.
I work with too many Americans who hope to get robbed so they can shoot someone. It makes no sense to me. Sure, it's your property, but it isn't worth getting hurt over.
I wish I was kidding about the shooting someone, it's a whole different world.
