Well the rich and the wealthy settled and baseball goes on.

Does anyone really care anymore after these rich and selfish people take more money from the average joe and don't seem to give a damn.

Is anybody else as disappointed as me? I wanted them to strike. Right through September 11th. That would have been the end of baseball as we know it.

Damn.

I love baseball.

It's a beautiful and majestic game. I love the smell of a ballpark. I love the sounds in a ballpark. The grass is so green; the bases so white. I love the tradition, the history, the simplicity, and the complexities of the game. I loved going out to Iowa and driving out into the cornfields, and playing in a pick-up game on the "Field of Dreams". I love the sheer joy little leaguers still have for the game. I miss these feelings I once had for Major League Baseball. I'm not sure I will ever get them back. Maybe some of the principals are finally realizing that there are thousands of us out there that they have lost. It will be interesting to see if they are truly interested in restoring the integrity of this once proud institution.

If they want to get more baseball fans, then they should have the pitcher fling balls at every batter that steps up. It will definately *up* the entertainment value in an otherwise drab, slow, agonizing and sandman inducing sport(Imho, anyway.) Even better, why don't they just pick up the bases and fling them at each other, its sure to induce more excitment in a crowd of *bored* people!
