No Labels really exists to make its owners money in consulting fees, but they also support conservative causes.

No Labels floats the possibility of a coalition government or Congress selecting the president in 2024

The group, which is trying to mount a third-party presidential campaign, could block a major party nominee from winning the Electoral College outright.

There are a few ways to interpret this insanely stupid plan of theirs to negotiate " a coalition government" .

“It’s possible that if you got to the Electoral College and no candidate had 270 [electoral votes], that there could be negotiation to create a coalition government where electors get traded between different candidates to get somebody over 270,” Ryan Clancy, the chief strategist for No Labels, told reporters on Wednesday. Clancy added: “There are quite a number of states that have what are called ‘unbound electors,’ which is to say: Those electors are not statutorily required to vote for the candidate that won their state at the Electoral College.”

Version 1: They know this is stupid but that lots of "centrists" and "people fed up with politics" don't know how anything works so they figure people will think this isn't ridiculous and give them money.
Version 2: They are actually this stupid. (Mark Penn is involved, so maybe.)
Version 3: They think they can sell this to the idiots they are targeting in Version 1 and get Trump elected. (And are stupid enough to think their form of "rich people must be coddled" Conservatism can still prevail over the Nativist/Fascist approach Trump is ushering in.

I'm not even sure they will bother getting anyone on any ballots.
They exist to make Mark Penn and his partner money.

But even if they do get a candidate on, very few people actually want what they claim to be selling outside of the media millionaires.

Oh, they have money.
Harlan Crow is funding them, for instance.
But by not actually getting to the point of running candidates, they have been able to avoid campaign finance disclosure laws, so they can keep most of the funding secret.

But they've got plenty of cash.
