Red House over yonder.
First blizzards, now nocturnal super pigs. Can we eat these beasts before they attack the cities? Is there a restaurant in TO that serves "wild boar"? You can charge more for wild boar than ferral hog. At 600 lbs per captured wild pig this could help to offset the costs of the new genius biodegradable takeout food containers forced on eatery owners.

Roasted Sanglier with Truffles with Japanese reduction $79.50 in Yorkville? Or feed the homeless? As Bucky Fuller said, "Do more with less."

I read Super Pigs as Spider Pig and started thinking...

Spider pig, spider pig, does whatever a spider pig does
can he swing, from a web, no he can't he's just a pig
watch out, here comes the spider pig...

How cool would that be - I feel they would have a sound like a mix between Metallica and Lamb of God!

MNR has put out alerts for years. In the US they are considered as pests, having destroyed thousands of acres of land, issued shoot on sight (while adhering to safe shooting practices of course), lots of people make a living trying and failing to get rids of them. In Florida they bred like rats and there are as many more wild pigs than rats in Toronto.

In Canada we wait until it is too late. Are politicians are p ssies...

They should start harvesting them and feed them to the food bank. They're all over Europe and the US, years ago they were considered delicacy, they made prosciutto and salami with them.

Borealis Grille & Bar
WILD BOAR CHOP
bone-in boar chop, mushroom + barley risotto, charred tomato, wilted arugula, hemp seed pesto, honey cider gastrique.
$36.95

They also have pickerel! I have been looking for pickerel and walleye in Toronto with no good results. Local small business Canadian entrepreneurs are amazing.

What a great place in a small town! I need to stop in Guelph to explore.

Water buffalo mozzarella is fabulous on pizza. The Italians in their cross-cultural food experiment figured out the tricky business of milking them.

I cannot but wonder if a Nocturnal Super Pig sneaked up on a South Dakota bison in the middle of the night if we could develop low cholesterol grass fed pork chops.

Entrepreneurs, not politicians, figure out ways to make lemmonade from lemons.

Super pigs were bred to survive Canadian winters, so they are hearty animals, growing to more than 600 pounds. They eat goslings and ducklings by the mouthful. They uproot and destroy crops. They can even bring down full-grown deer.

Despite its popularity, recreational hog hunting seems to be making the problem worse. The pigs are adapting by turning nocturnal, which makes them harder to track and remove.

I did not think about the hooves or the possibility of another treif species. But then I eat lobsters. If the animals can make it work I'm ok with it. The Prez will never stand in the way of love or evolution.
