But.....
a few days ago dropped into a massage parlour that I had frequented several times in the past.
An hour later, for half of what I spent on the massage, I bought a toaster oven!
A day later I couldn't tell you anything about the massage...what her name was, or what happened behind closed doors.
It was just another massage in a long line of massages...enjoyable at the time but nothing special, highly forgettable.
Now the toaster oven makes great toast, day after day...and does a good job of re-heating my steak and guinness pie! I appreciate the toaster oven at less than half the cost of, and more enduring than...
I need a vacation!
I'm out of here...

Shades, I see where you're going with this . Recently I bought myself a pair of new balance running shoes and a new dvd player. Total cost around $200. For the same $200 I blow my load in about a minute with an sp and head for the hills---lol. Makes you think doesn't it?

BTW my SO and i were contemplating a piece of furniture at Ikea and she said,

"$240, that's a lot of money for something we'll probably only use for a year or two"

I thought, "$240 is what i spent yesterday afternoon on someone i only used for about an hour"
I am a pig.

Sounds like you need to find an SP who will make you toast afterwards?

Point taken but that isn't that true of everything in life? I prefer to buy my food in high end stores and in my mind the return is worth the investment... your mileage may vary.
