Not All HD Are Created Equal

I have a couple of cameras and a camcorder and have also tried out some cameras own by friends. While they are all capable of shooting 720p HD video, the image quality differs from model to model ranging from excellent to merely good.

Is this your experience as well?

I've never done a comparison like this, but it's quite obvious if you watch a lot of HD TV that there are different quality levels of camera. Some broadcast look far sharper than others. (and I'm not talking about upscaling either)

720p HD isn't a standard for image quality, so yes, it's going to vary greatly!

numerous factors affect video...type of CCD imaging sensor, lens optics, build quality...using factory auto settings, or manually adjusting based on shooting conditions, etc.
