Anyone else find it disgusting that these morons got a "mistrial"? I mean really, what the fu*k were the jurors deliberating.... these idiots started a riot, and assaulted police officers. Not to mention they also injured horses and innocent bystanders. They should have been found guilty and sent straight to jail.

And your "opinion-sense" is clearly out of whack with reality. If the case has resulted in a mistrial, it is not a case that's closed. That's reality. If you think the case is closed when in fact it's not, then saying you have a closed mind is a rather mild term to apply to you.

Maybe your attention to detail would be greater if you stopped "snorting" and took your head out of the trough.

So you don't think they should be punished? They brought firebombs, gas masks, and sticks with nails hammered through them to a "peacefull" protest. John whatever his name is and his cronnies are a bunch of A*holes period. They are doing a lot more harm to the 'cause' they 'claim' to be fighting for then good. Like already stated they came there prepared for a riot. I don't know where they got these jurors... but those that could not see the truth slapping them in the face are no better then the thugs that showed up at this riot. When I heard the result of this trial... I just wanted to vomit.

This court ruling violates my sense of justice as well. Those morons are just a bunch of anarchists and they don't do the poor any good. It's just an excuse to throw a "tantrum" and damage some property, hurt some cops and horses.
Ask any parent what to do with a brat throwing a tantrum, they should be given a "time out." In this case in jail.

If they really cared about poverty they would be better organised to fight poverty and they would also supplement their advocacy with positive actions like the food bank. It is easy to have a big mouth (like me

Money out of their hard working pockets. $16,000 is not alot of money in the grand scheme of things, but for those who were affected and had to pay for the damages, $16,000 is far too much.Liminal said:

Not only should these morons see jail time, but OCAP should be forced to pay for all damages (this would include health care for the victims & vet bills for the horses). They should have the money taken out of their budget. Maybe then they would think twice about further violence.

They're are is just a group of PAID protesters, who don't give a shit about the homeless, just the money they are paid to be there. The same people are arrested all the tiem at various demonstrations, If you go to a protest wearing a mask and goggles then you are looking for for trouble and get everything you deserve. Of course that is only my observation.
