Someone is trying their darndest to shut down the CL listings in London by flagging everything.

My theory is that when it does shut down the cream will rise to the top so to speak. And those that are serious about being Service Providers will perhaps spend a little money and pay for some legitimate advertising. Don't really see a downside, IMHO.

They shut it down in parts of the States and there trying to do it in Canada as well. It won't change anything but apparently it will make some people - I don't know who they are - feel good about themselves.

i also do paid advertising as well as craigslist... i think its nice to have something free sometimes

I use CL and paid advertising as well.. if they close down CL a new free advertising site will pop up.. no big deal..lol
its illegal in the states as well.. thats why they were able to close it there so easily ..

I think craigslist tries to take a pretty hard stance on keeping that section open. In the states it is different because it is downright illegal. Considering the fact that craigslist has taken a hit by all the other classified pages that have come around in the last few years, I think they will hold on as hard as they can to the escort section because it sets them apart from most others.

Paid advertising is great (go terb) but it is nice to have the option to make adds that can be removed and reposted for us girls who like to keep business small and don't want an open link up all day long.

there are other site starting to pop up but not being an SP, I don't know if they charge for advertising or not... more thna likely yes, everyone wants ot mkae money
