Texting your sweetheart that you’re on your way home? California may soon charge you for that.

This is no LOL matter, critics say.

State regulators have been ginning up a scheme to charge a fee for text messaging on mobile phones to help support programs that make phone service accessible to the poor. The wireless industry and business groups have been working to defeat the proposal, now scheduled for a vote next month by the California Public Utilities Commission.

“It’s a dumb idea,” said Jim Wunderman, president of the Bay Area Council business-sponsored advocacy group. “This is how conversations take place in this day and age, and it’s almost like saying there should be a tax on the conversations we have.”

There is a mass migration people moving from California to Texas, Las Vegas even. Texas is tax free heaven. Las Vegas housing is cheap and very little tax. So when no one is left in California, it is open for all those migrants from Central and South America.

That's how it works in California.

Someone raises a proposal for some "progressive" program. Everyone nods their heads and agree it's such a good idea. There are some general pats on the back for being such great people willing to help those in need. All this takes place without a single thought for paying for such a program. Eventually subordinates are tasked with putting the program into action. THEY obviously know the program isn't viable without proper funding, but they also know the state is drowning in debt. So they have to brainstorm crazier and crazier ideas in order to pay for the crazier and crazier programs the higher ups think up.

Eventually the cost of living will climb to the point where there's a mass exodus and the financial well being of the state will collapse.

California is a great experiment demonstrating what the inevitable outcome always is when socialist policies are allowed to permeate through society over a prolonged period of time. Anyone seen the "Poop Map" of San Francisco lately?

So I guess Trump would build the wall a little farther north than planned....

Who cares about texting ...water always find the path of least resistance. Look at blockbuster when they failed to realize the water principle and netflix crushed them like a cockroach.
