Today, the OpenOffice team announced their newly developed mouse:

Gotta love the open source longhairs. Such horrible sense when it comes to usability or design but they still wonder why they can't crack the consumer desktop market.

Cool

WOW!!!
Gotta get one. It looks so much more functional than the new 'flat' Mac mouse that looks like someone let the air out of....:p

Really? From the side it looks like just about 90% of the mice products out there. There is no way that it looks like something that's collapsed. And you're willing to pay MORE for that Linux mouse than the Apple one? Shocking!

But, then, the look of the OpenOfficeMouse should fit right in there with your 12 year old machine. LOL!

Gizmodo says that it's the best mouse that Apple's produced and may even sway non-Apple users to buy it:

AppleInsider says that it's simple and intuitive:

WTF are you going to do with all those friggin' buttons? May as well turn your keyboard into a mouse - then you get at least 128 buttons (plus modifiers - think of the possibilities)!

I'm shocked Dan. You expect pragmatism from a longhair ideologue?

Pricey as expected.....well it's a Mac

LOL!

The new Mac Mighty Mouse will cost ya though:

Where to Buy
MacMall - $66.94
ClubMac - $66.94
Amazon.com - $69.99

But as most Mac cultists will tell ya.....
"As long as it's new, shiny and made by Apple, I'll buy it, gotta have it!" .....:p

Once again, you fail to read...the OpenOfficeMouse will cost you EVEN more than the Magic Mouse. It's US$74.99. Yeah, that's right...a Linux product that costs MORE than a competing Mac product. And it's uglier.

But hey, as most Linux cultists will tell you...no matter how many hoops I have to jump through...even to the extent of paying for it...I gotta have it!

Not to mention time lost due to poor usability. It's funny how Woody dismissed your well-reasoned point about the price and just started ranting and raving... he's like the Rush of technology.

Mega dittos, love my Linux and my OpenOffice mouse.

That's because I also think that mouse is a joke!
Guess you missed the ....:D
Sun & OO can make some silly bonehead decisions just like M$ & Apple.
It's just that Linux doesn't make as many of them.....

Umm...you had no " :D " in your post. We all know how much you love Linux given that you jump into every thread with a "Try Linux because it's free!" line so how can we tell if you're joking or not?

And FYI...I'm not rushing out to buy the mouse...love my Logitechs and Kensingtons.
