opinions regarding student massages (RMT)?

they are cheaper, but are they effective or is it just a waste of time? I'm in need of RMT but would be interested in a cheaper alternative if it's worthwhile

any recommendations of schools to check out? (location, prices, quality)

Centennial College in Scarborough used to have a RMT course there, and did have walk ins available at one time... though I have no idea if they do anymore.

A girl I worked with about 5 years ago, was taking the RMT course there and told me about it.

There is a RMT school on north side of Dupont just west of Spadina that I can't recall the name of just now. They have a sign outside offering RMT massage by students supervised by teachers for $30./hr.

Canadian College of Massage had a school around Finch & Chesswood (former Seneca campus). I'm not sure if it's still there. Had a few massages - was not overly impressed and would not recommend.

Ellesmere and Morningside also have student massage.

I believe it's $30 an hour.
The last time I went, the money goes towards charity.

I have had not so great massages and some amazing ones. It all depends on the skill of the student. Generally you will get better massages from the ones in their final year vs the new student.

Once you have your favorite, you can always find out their schedule and book them accordingly.
