Owners of Ottawa's strip clubs decided not to obtain an injunction stopping the planned enforcement of the new strip club bylaw in Ottawa and decided instead to proceed to a full-blown hearing, scheduled for May. The City has agreed not to enforce the bylaw until the hearing has occurred.
If the bylaw goes ahead, no more private booths, all champagne areas will have to be in full view of the entertainment area (similar to most strip clubs in the States where the "champagne" area is a cordoned off area with couches) and there will be a strictly enforced "no touch" rule.
All of this would spell an end to a long history of high mileage private booths in Ottawa.
So time to get your last fill in --- May is around the corner.
Or just start building up your goodwill with the dancers over in Gatineau, because that's where all the action is going to be.
