I've heard the 2 wheel segways require some getting used to, and it's possible they don't want to deal with the training time and/or liability.

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get comfortable riding a segway. Did a 2.5 hour tour using one in San Fran last summer. Too bad about the area we toured(wharf).

Great! More waste of taxpayers money!!! Last thing we need is fatter cops that can't work themselves out of a paper bag let alone protect us from would be terrorists. I wonder who's idea was this? It certainly does not make the airport any safer and who fills out the accident report?? Is that a PI or PD report?
