Pet Photography?

I'm considering having some professional photographs taken of my cat. I'm not looking for anything overly fancy, but not cell phone quality pictures, either. I just want to have some good quality digital photos to share with friends, and as a memory when he's passed on. I'm in the Bloor West Village area.

Does anyone know a good place where I could have this done, and what it might cost? I see this as a 10-15 minute assignment, is that beneath the interest of a professional shutterbug?

Thanks,

~bito

There's a photography studio on Jane, just north of Bloor on the West side of Jane (south of Annette)

He's got a studio and I would imagine that he would be open to it.

Thanks for the link. They do high quality work, but $225 for a two hour session seems excessive. Ideally, what I want could be done in a few minutes.
Do you think you could hire any professional for a "few minutes" of work?

You aren't going to get a good professional photograph of your pet "done in a few minutes". If you just want a good snapshot for the family christmas card do it yourself.

I don't need somebody with a Master's Degree in Fine Arts to take a few pictures of my cat. I need someone who has a digital camera, not a phone, and wants to make some money when they might otherwise be sitting around.

@ james t kirk: Thanks, I'll look into that the next time I'm over there.

Ah, you should have clarified, you are looking for a friend with a good camera, not a photographer.
My Bad. I should have been more broad in the minimum skill level I'm looking for.

I don't need posed photos with a background and precise lighting. I'd like at least a half dozen good quality digital photos, and maybe twice as many other photos taken, but deleted. A good amateur or better should be able to do that in fifteen minutes.

Right. That sounds like a real amateur job. You might just try and borrow someone's camera and do it yourself.
