phone numbers

I am not a big proponent for rules , just wondering as lately I have been seeing reviews with phone numbers in them.
I did not think that was considered a good move or not? Always thought that the preferred route was something such
as " ------- BP #### "
Let me know if I am off base.

Don't see a problem with this. It's not like we are posting the SP's private/personal phone number, right? They make their number public, to start with.

If they advertise with the phone number, then it shouldn't be a problem to post it. However if they only share their number after screening you, and don't have it listed in their ads or on their website then please do not share it with others as it's not meant to be shared.

Yeah, I don't' think this ever happened before, at least I hope not. Pretty sure OP means the ads that already have numbers on it.

Yeah, the issue is that links die constantly, and there are sometimes dozens of SP's on Backpage using the same name, so without phone digits there isn't any way to identify who the person is talking about. There are actually several threads already on here where the OP only uses the name and a defunct link, so people within the thread are arguing over whether they are even talking about the same person.
