Preface: I'm a photographer, so take this with a "grain" of salt, or whatever else you like.

Why do the ladies not spend the time/money to get photos that are at least look good and not-pixelated?
Honestly even the best pictures I've seen (the best are of well-established girls....hmm, probably a reason for that), are still lackluster at best. It's not difficult to get accurate/genuine photos that look great. C'mon, it's depressing to see dark/grey camera-phone images of the girls, no?

So girls, what's the reason? PM me if you prefer not to post to this thread .

It may be marketing but phogs are creative types and it pains to see many of those wierd colored pix taken with an iPhone or a webcam.

The bottom line is that these pix often serve their purpose as well as well-lit professional photos. If the lady is reasonably good looking and picks a good angle with an iPhone shot into the mirror, a hobbyist gets a good enough idea about whom he is beooking.

Professional-looking pix take a bit of an investmnet in time, makeup and grooming and many ladies don't want to make the effort.

It' all part of a wider change in the photography field -- both in business and in personal life. How many people make prints of their personal digital pix? Veryt few. The pix live on a computer until the hard drive dies.

The result: There will be very few family albums for future generations.

Having said all that, there are ladies who like to pose and have their pix taken. It's just not for everyone.

Not always true. Sometimes better pics mean the guy stays home and just jerks off to them . . . then NO business.

Being overly recognizable isn't the best idea either. Then you're out to dinner with a high profile client and anyone who reads backpage/terb/dutts knows he's with a "working girl".

But I agree that pictures that show your accurate appearance in a beautiful and tasteful way can be better for bringing in business.

for ever guy that sits at home and jacks off to the pic, I.m sure there are a dozen more trying to get in touch. And for being recongnized, I',m sure there are ways to blur the picture or put on a sexy little mask to cover just your eyes. I prefer to see what the person looks like before jumping in and that means clear un blurred pictures. Time to update the photos ladies and give yourselves a well deserved raise. Now i which Helena would add a few more pics of her on the couch, because the hook is almost planted,ya we are the fish and you girls are the bait.

Most SP don't want family or friends to know what they are doing. A 10 megapixel photo might give their identity away.

It is really the preference of the girls. Some are only in this for a short while to make a couple bucks and others are in it for the long haul. I suppose it just depends on what makes sense for them at that point in their lives.

That is obviously a girl who doesn't mind if someone she knows stumbles across the page. Not all of us want to be that recognizable. The smallest identifying mark can be enough to spill the beans should a family member/friend happen across the photo.
I know, it happened to me. I had a pic that showed a small scar I had on my arm due to the high quality of the photo. A friend of the family came across it and my family was informed. So I personally think that a picture that shows to much is a bad thing. You want to give an idea of what the client can expect, but any real detail and you run a big risk.

Yeah, and those pics aren't that great either. I mean, she's very beautiful, and they're only mediocre photos. But my many standards, they're better than a lot out there.

A lot of girls do not have access to people with enough skills or the proper tools to do some re-touching of the photos to remove identifiable markings so they just go with grainy cell phone images because it is a quick solution. I agree, a better picture will draw more attention to a girls ad. Definetly. Why they won't do it is really as Sweet Serenity pointed out, they want to make sure their professional life stays separate from their personal life. But their are creative ways to take a nice picture and not be identified. Take a look at Zoe's pictures (formerly Stacy). I did those for her. Anybody that has seen her will know the personally identifiable markings have been removed from her pictures for a reason. To protect her identity. Take a look next time her ad comes up with those images.

There are lots of ways to hide indentity other than Photoshop. Look at Andrea's pix, for example, (She also advertises here.)

Photoshop swirls and blurring can be undone. It's more productive to use props such as a hat or a fan and other clothing.

But the bottom line is that iPhone pix work well enough for many ladies.

Have to agree... great pics was certainly the case for me. I saw Angels pics and was hooked. Then I read a few of her reviews and that sealed the deal for me. Sent e-mail, made arrangements had a blast!

She's the real deal and a fantastic provider!

Here's hoping she comes to K-W someday.
