Hey all,

Hope it's ok I post this down and not meaning to scare anyone here. It's pretty shocking how she's a shell of herself and still younger than people I know.

http://www.raincoatreviews.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3046&page=4

If it's better that this thread's deleted, I'm fine with that. But yeah, I can see how if ppl didn't had parents, friends and etc, they can easily fall off the face of the earth.

As gay as this sounds, I feel pretty bad for her. Unfortunately, I bet as of now, she doesn't even go by the name Yumi nor is she recognizable.

Are you for real? I can't believe I skimmed through 8 pages of that forum. My take on it is, an ex-porn star gets a phone call from some guy she doesn't know, who says he's the administrator of an internet group dedicated to talking about porn stars, and the people on that website are worried about her because they heard from some guy on the website, that she is now an escort and using drugs?

If I were Yumi, I would have hung up and called the police. That administrator guy, Snowball, is a freaking weirdo. Do you really get that deeply into that stuff? Man, that is the DARK underbelly of the internet there, with all its inherent weirdos it conjures up (and that's coming from a guy posting in a hooker forum). And you wish you could help her? Geez, she doesn't need help. The people who think they have a role in ex-porn starts lives need help.

Weird shit.

This is a dark business, and there are going to be shocking stories like this. We all want to be the hero and save these beautiful women, but in the end we are not really acting out of pure altruism. Why is this same Snownuts or whatever his name is not rescuing the homeless, saving orphans in Africa, or being concerned about the numerous crack addicts in my neighborhood? It's only because she is a beautiful young porn star that he tries "rescue" her.

I suspect the only real tangible thing he accomplished was use up her cell phone minutes with his call, like she said.

It's extremely sad and depressing to see young lives ruined. But let's not pretend to be noble by feigning genuine concern, when all you're doing is meddling in other's affairs. The girl needs help, yes. Numerous phone calls and lengthy posts about the details, no.

The whole eight pages reminded me of Terb discussing a dancer, it's pretty easy to figure out who plays Snowman. How Snowman could make those postings and not see how pompous he is, is beyond me. She was mad at me, and I just wanted to help her!

It's call Sympathy, not noble

Some people feel sympathy just like we hear about the sad stories as well in other countries. And yes, i feel that too but i guess when you hear so many stories about it, sometimes you might feel indifferent. Maybe you have been around this industry long enough that you pretty insensitive to this stuff but maybe i haven't been around that long. I do notice i'm slowly starting to be a bit indifferent towards a few issues too.

i dunno the guy's motives or intentions, maybe it was a half-ass attempt to reach out to her or sincere, i can't question that, it's not my NOR YOUR right but that's not even the point. how he handled the situation, that's up for debate but definitely there could had been a better way to reach out to her but that's not the point

Maybe from his and other people's perspectives, he felt that a girl (reasonably attractive) with such a fairly decent (how shall i say it, yeeew) fan base, could had fallen to a no-name desperate meth addict and at least better of doing that then this.

C'mon, some people maybe even yourself listen and look over news of our favorite hollywood stars, pop stars, someone important (oh cool Cindy Crawford gets married, interesting) when they make a headline. Even for people who don't relate to this, it's still a shocking story at least to me.

Like i said again, many people can feel sympathy to this case but maybe not you, maybe not a couple of others like you. And yeah I can understand that too, I can see myself becoming that indifferent when I'm around long enough this industry.

Yep. It reaffirms my belief that you can only help people who are willing to help themselves.

If a person didn't ask for "help", then it is pointless to offer it.
