Ok I know there are LCD monitors that are technically landscape monitors that you can pivot. But from what I've read they are not really designed for this purpose so you end up getting a dark or light picture if you are not dead on in front of the screen.

Is there a monitor that is designed for being in the portrait position. It would be great because I sometimes have documents that I'd like to view as a full page without having to scroll up or down.

I have a bad feeling that they will be expensive and hard to get a hold of. :(

Since my graphics card has two outputs I figure maybe I could have a screen hooked up in both orientations? That would be cool. Best of both worlds.

There are displays that are designed exclusively for portrait and displays that can switch between portrait and landscape. As for the viewing angle, you have to go to a store and do some real world testing since the specs are marketing fluff.

I bought a 19" refurbished one for $180 a few weeks ago that rotates from portrait to landscape. Not sure if something like that is even in the zone of what you're looking for. It was a somewhat older HP model that I can't recall (not even the specs) as I gave it as a gift, but does the job and there are no problems with it. I got it in a mini indoor plaza at Yonge/Adelaide and I believe they had a couple more.
