Postal Strike In U.K.?

Can someone who has connections with United Kingdom, (U.K.) can confirm that they are under Postal Strike? as i am getting mix informations, and since last two weeks i am waiting for an important documents from Midlands, U.K.
if they are going through strike than its fine, but i am worried if my documents are not lost as the same were mailed two weeks ago from the second largest city of U.K. Birmingham.
Some info on exact situation would surely help with with my worries.
