Here's the thing: Will MAGA and the GOP embrace Vance like they do Trump? I mean, Trump can whip them into shape with a Twitter post and by calling them mean names. I don't think Vance has that weight. So, without Trump steering the ship, will Vance see politics as usual, where GOP senators and congresspeople push back against the executive branch? Will the Supreme Court continue to kiss Trump's ass?

I honestly don't know. I've kicked around this scenario many times, and I just don't think Vance is likeable or influential enough to deal with the large personalities in his party. But, that being said, the GOP tends to put party over country, so it is possible Vance continues to do the Project 2025 agenda...

I wonder how the WSJ story will hurt him. And the fact he's telling AG Bondi to release "some" documents for the Epstein file...which will be very sanitized, is hilarious. But, I also think there are a number of folks that don't care about the fact he's been a sexual predator for 50+ years. Yeah, totally agree. Vance would face more pushback from the GOP because they won't need to worry about being called a mean name or having the threat of facing a primary challenge. I still think they would continue to pass bills and appoint right-wing partisan judges and so forth, just that it would be a little more difficult.

Here's a thought I just had....Trump's tariffs are starting to really impact inflation. And, he wants to fire the Fed Chair. If he did that, many speculate that would have a catastrophic effect on the USD, which would likely make all imported good more expensive (as well as fuck up the global economy). If that does happen, and the economy goes into a bonkers....would Trump step down before things really blow up, leaving Vance to hold the bag and face all the criticism? I don't know if Trump is that self-aware or can see the writing on the wall. I mean, the shitheel is already trying to blame any economic weakness he caused on Biden...
