Ottawa has always had elevated prices for sp and mp services. Even girls who travel jack their prices way up when they come here, as opposed to other places they visit. Why? Well, we tolerate it. I have noticed that just recently the "going rate" for an sp in Ottawa has shot up to $300/hr. We just let it happen. Personally, I have restricted my hobbying to Montreal as I will not contribute to this nonsence. Hobby in Ottawa--pay top dollar.
