Yes, people, please don't ask for them, and never confirm them. I don't.

How do you disable them?
Every time I say cancel/no it doesn't send my message.
I think the screen goes blank.

I think it should be all or nothing. Either you have to send a receipt (and it is done automatically), or you can't request one.

They can have their uses, especially in work environments.

Although I like to think this is my work environment, I don't see them as being all that useful or necessary. Afterall, just because Kathleen has received and confirmed reading my PM politely asking her for sexual favours doesn't mean I'm any closer to getting them. It worked with Fang and Goober's Mom, but they're easy.
