Tough to say, because I'm here procrastinating.

But I'd say set daily goals and make sure they are achievable, otherwise you'll set yourself up for failure and disappointment.

Some people set up a reward system for themselves.

If you have a friend who has to do the same or similar work as you set up a work party..... I know some people who have stacks of paper work that comes home with them and sometimes they'll get together with others and work together and take breaks.

Fred, hire an assistant and enjoy a life of idleness.
You'll make two people happier and contribute to the economy. :)

frankcastle was dead on.

Set small, realistic, incremental goals. Work a little, play a little.

If this doesn't work, then you've got larger issues like work burnout. Maybe you really do need to take some relaxing time off.

I'm a list person. I write down what needs to be done and I alternate a smaller task with a bigger one, giving myself little breaks in between. It gets easier to complete each task as more get checked off the list.

Just remember this then: Procrastination is like masturbation. It may seem like a good idea at the time, but in the end, you are just fa-king yourself.

I find procrastination saves a lot of money and labour.
If something is urgent and at the top of a list, try ignoring it for a few days and see if it's still important. If it is, try waiting a couple of weeks.
You'll often find that time solves many problems, often the guy who needed something done will find someone else to bother.

Good advice...

Achievable goals are definitely the trick but don't spent too much time planning.

Reward system is ideal. If I get this done, I get to see...

And support buddies help provide inspiration.
