As I sit here reading all the american bashing Im getting Pi**d. I understand that every one has there own opinion And like Iv'e said before opinions are like as*holes every ones got one. But why to you think that is possable. Because people have been willing to fight for the right to have an opinion and voice it to the masses. Thats what it's all about FREEDOM. Your probably saying what does that have to do with the middle east and there dictators? These people in the middle east are all in bed togeather and don't get me wrong I am not in favor of a conflict in the middle east. But some thing to ask yourself? What if some one came to your doorstep and took the life of one of your love ones girlfriend, wife, child, SP or whatever. What would it feel like? LIKE SHIT. You ask why I feel this way A girl I grew up with, (lived next door) went to NY city to follow her dreams in the music industry Well to make a long story short she was on the 106 floor of the twin towers that fatefull day. Trust me when I tell you it was not a great time for anyone that had love ones involved. The pain sorrow and hate that evolved was extreme. Ask yourself how would you feel if it was one of your loved ones? War is never the answer to problems around the world but at some point FREEDOM must be defended and dictators should be repressed. At some point they will have an effect on your life one way or another. In the middle east most of the nay sayers here would have been executed by now. So if you are american or canadan the fact that you can say what you want with out repercussion is what it is all about. FREEDOM I feel better now

That's just it these idiots who attacked the World Trade 9/11 think they are doing the work of the Lord. I mean don't you know that these guys are so much in the favour of the Lord for having lived such 'high moral standards' all their lives that when they get to hevean they are to be rewarded with 72 virgins. Now how F**k Up is that?

This is a stupid thread.

Democracies have freedom because they re governments by and for the people. It's not a uniquely American attribute. If we were to unseat every dictator we'd be very busy. Cuba is quite a bit closer than Iraq.

This war will not start WWIII, again people use some sense of proportion. It's an overwhelming country squashing a small country in a couple of weeks, this a WW is not.

He's a dangerous guy in a sensitive region, he's a pathological user of WMD and has invaded two neighbors in the last 20 years and kills his own people constantly. The world will be a better place when he's gone. End of story.

And another thing, don't wage war on behalf of God, I don't think she'd like it.

All these arguments against war and for appeasement was tried in the late 1930s and early 1940s with a madman named Hitler. That got the world no where except in an inevitable war. It is about time that the world stood up against a madman and end this threat against world peace. Leaving Saddam in power is a greater threat to peace than starting a war.

If the Americans and British are the only ones brave enough to stand up to a mad man then all I can say is 'God bless America' and 'God save the Queen'

last word

One can never win if politics or religon are debated. I know better than to start up on these subjects. most people are set in there thought process and no one will give ground plus or minus.

And just think I'm gettin payed while I do this.

Make love not war (some of you might remember that saying from the Vietnam era) and to think I almost went to Canada

Panhead,

I can not think of that horrific day, without a tear in my eye. The horror and terror felt by a nations that day is impossible to put into words. The vivid memory of people jumping to their deaths in desperate acts of survival. The HEROS who rushed in with no concern for their own saftey. A rush of people, ordinary citizens comming to help.

I do indeed know it has affected people. The loss of loved ones. The terror inflicted on a nation. And even today the bashing we take for not asking permission to fight back. On 9-12-01 I remember somone saying: `The thing they fear the most is Americans are like cowboys. They will get their guns and ride into town to kill the bad guy.` I have to honestly say, yep and swift justice is a bad thing?

I pose a question to all if your child or any menber of your family was murdered by your neighbor and you call the police. They say sure we know she did it but hey not like we can do anything about it. Would you find it within your self to sit on your hands and be a good neighbor??? Or would you one day march over there and rip her head off, along with anyone in your way??????

I have said many times that freedom has a price to be paid and sometimes we must pay that price. And to think I was happy to see the draft end. I guess life can overcome a liberal education.

Saddam didn't cause 9/11, another Arab did.
The Americans want to go lynch some Arabs.
Good-ole-boys mentality.

Why is it people with nothing worth saying find insults to be cute or smart?

Did you honestly expect to get support by posting it on another countries web- site, what did you expect us to do? Throw you a freakin ticker tape parade. Go post it on some Pro-US site, I am sure there are some inbread yahoo's down south that would be more that happy to chant your name.

Can we pls close this thread, don't we have enough of them?

should be proud

I have stayed away from many of these threads because I dont think they serve any purpose. However, please realize that there are many individuals like myself in Canada who worked with a number of people killed in 911. I personally attended 8 funerals in the two months following the incident so yes I had a vested interest in what happen. I also have friends from the middle east whose relatives were killed and lives were ruined by the sanctions and actions of the US after 1991. So even with my personal connection to these deaths I do not believe an attack on Iraq is warranted. I dont believe Saddam is truly a threat to the US and junior just has to finish of what his dad failed to do. Nonetheless, I have many issues with US politics and their policing the world when it suits their interest but I never question the loyalty of its citizens. You should be proud to be american and what made your country so great so quickly is the people and patriotism. Only in the US would an outcry against ones own government be allowed to be heard. I know many people criticize US actions and dont give them credit for some of the good you have done but that comes with being on top.
