Why do some SPs say " No Black Man". I don't know the reason behind. Can anybody tell me if they know the reason?

To me, it is a racist thing. Black men are being lumped together and stereotyped in this industry and for some reason it seems to he acceptable. I am not a black man but I avoid those providers who have that listed in their ads as I dont think I could support that sort of racism nor would i be able to click with someone whom i had good reason to believe was racist.

I am on edge due to the fact I am worried to bump into a family member or friend of the family.. The black community is not that big here in Ottawa. Everyone has their own reason's I suppose. I would hope to think it is not due to racism ..

You should have the ability to express whom you would spend time with based on preference.....it is your body.
Not like they are baking you a cake and refuse to serve you at the bakery.

I dont see it as racist, I believe simply prefetence.

Why do you thi k YMMV as the provider isnt always into the customer equally.

Sure, that's why they have sex with us paying customers, because we're all their preference lol. Try to justify it all you want but for the most part, it's a racist thing.

I can understand the not wanting to meet someone in your community, but it's not only black ladies who have this restriction.

To the OP.

IMHO … it’s because the SP can. Simple as that.
No one complains.

its usually far from straight racism. I’ve asked providers (often white) why the race rule, some have told me due to past disrespectful experiences, too energetic, size, … most often because their “Boyfriend” ;) is Black and they don’t want to disrespect their man. Rarely is it just because a guy is black.

it’s the same all over the country.
however some say no ____ guys under 35, which I think is ageist.

this thread is dumb.

This is funny. Peoples always jump on the racist band wagon.

So, if it is racism, then even black SP are racist against themselves since you often see them advertising "No Black"

So can someone explain that to me ?

An Asian MA told me the same thing about Asian. She asked what was my back ground and once there, I ask her and this is what she replied.
She didn't want to end up meeting some one from the Asian community that she knows "outside" of the business.

Well, black on black racism does happen, although I don't know if there may be another term for that type of self-hate.

A question for you; is it racist when the black community uses the N-word to refer to each other? No? Then why don't non-blacks use it too? Okay then.

Sure, the white-as-snow traveling SP has the no black rule because she doesn't want to meet someone she knows, that's it. Same with Asians with that rule? Considering most Asians don't know or like black people?

Let's just call a spade a spade and move on. It's not like a TERB thread is going to change anything. The SPs will still get clients and black guys will still get shitted on, life moves on.

If justifying racism helps you legitimize your willingness to overlook it in order to see a provider then....

Of course not every instance of a provider posting "no black gents" is equal and some might not even be racist. This is likely true for someone like Kimora as she shared is concerned with ppl in her circle finding her. I take her at her word. If others are doing it because of the other reasons suggested (pimps etc) then it wreaks or racism. To stereotype a race, especially in a disparaging manner is racism. Plain and simple.

@Energy, your Asian comparison is ludicrous. I am not sure it really warrants a response but, hey why not? Saying you love something about a group of people based on race is a lot different than saying you hate something about a race. Both involve racializing yes but saying I dont want to interact with a specific race because of x,y, or z is different than saying I want to interact with this race because of a,b, or c. Personally, I am not a supporter of either approach but the first seems a lot worse than the second.

I meant to add, I still dont understand why ppl feel the need to engage in a thread by saying things like "this is silly" or "I hate this thread". If you dont enjoy reading or participating in a thread, dont click on it. What does it matter to you if others do?

Is it ?

Funny how peoples think they can "read" other peoples mind and motivations...

Go try your "nice" "yellow fever" like some are saying on this board with "BrynneAlin".
You will be called racist in no time...

So you are probably another "white" knight that think he knows better then everyone else ...
