Questions about Toronto???

I have a friend from the US who would like to visit Toronto, and I am sort of advising her, however, this is like the blind leading the blind, since my contact with Toronto has been fairly limited. I stayed downtown when I visited, however, traffic was a nightmare and I was not familiar with the subway system. Which would be better, for her to stay by the airport or to stay downtown?

Also, I think the average rates in Toronto are between 200$ and 300$ for visitors, is this on the mark or am I way off?

What is the best best best time for her to visit over the summer months?

Finally, since she is planning to visit for 2 weeks time, if it came down to it, would it be better for her to work with an agency, if so, which one?

Thanks so much

She can take out an ad on Eros and work as an independent. Another travelling escort (Harmony) does this with good success, or she can simply pay to advertise here on TERB for a month before her visit. Lots of visibility.

Downtown is the ideal spot. The subway is very easy, she doesnt need a car, and everything you need is nearby. I have been coming to for 5+ years and I wouldnt think of staying anyplace else in the area.

I agree with Muffin Muncher.
Stay downtown since the subway can take you anywhere in the area.

The airport hotels are cheaper but parking is usually not free and it's harder
to access with public transit.

The rates in Toronto are in that ballpark. Toronto is known for it's incalls for half hours but 200-220 for downtown is on target. 300 is the sweet spot for indys here.

Agencies, hmmm, I really don't know those that will take an indy for a short time. Like Muffin Muncher says try advertising here for a month before her arrival and put an ad on Eros or Redzone.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much... have you ever noticed that the going rates for SPs falls almost in line with the rates for your average good hotel? LOL!

Another question...

What determines if a hotel is SP friendly? I would think the only real challenge is to find a place without key cards - right, and not so nosey staff?

When you are picking a time, keep in mind that Pride Weekend and Caribana are big events, if you picked one of those weekends you would notice. Could be good or bad depending on how you feel about that kind of thing. My sense is that some people go into town for those events, while others avoid them, so you get a different mix of people than a regular weekend.

Thanks so much - so far, most of what she needed

has been figured out - EXCEPT - timing - I don't know when pride weekend is, but I don't think that would be an ideal time for her to visit, and Caribana might be interesting for her, but again, I don't know when that is. What about time of the week? Like are weekdays better than weekends?

Thanks again!

Pride is June 15th-24th with the weekend of the 24th being the busy weekend that you don't want to be here. I don't know the date of the Caribana festival but it's usually mid July. From an SP's perspective you don't want to work either of those weekends. The downtown is packed, hotels are at a premium and the people who live in the city don't want to venture out much as traffic is crazy and roads are closed, clients don't want to sit in traffic for 2+ hours to go see someone for an hour and no one will be running on time which can make scheduling difficult.
