The usual suspects will cry racist but many of the -------- I see in our society are thin. So, being thin might not save you from heart disease.

Death is 100% in all races it seems. Maybe some groups are better at deferral of the inevitable , perhaps ?
Obese individuals generally develop cardiovascular pathology earlier than normal weight individuals and have a lower life expectancy.
Obese individuals, often eat with gusto through out their lifetimes and have a longer life expectancy than under weight individuals.

Too many carbs and sugars. South Asians are more likely to get diabetes type 2 and heart disease/hypertension.

You know, they don't give out type 2 diabetes and heart disease/hypertension at the gym. Maybe just go for a walk. Your heart and liver will thank you for it!
