Could of, would of, should of...

All I know is that we should have a much better team. This is a great sports town and with no NHL, I find myself watching too much golf.

Yes they (raps) could of, but just because he's form Toronto , it doesn't mean he'd want to come here. The reason is because of exposure in the US- the lucrative endorsement contracts in which he could get, as well.
Sure it's nice to play for your home town, but at the end of the day when he sits down and weighs about the advantages/ diasdvantages for HIS and his family's well being.....it's far more attractive to play in the US than it is in canada. 2 Words Dude MONEY TALKS

There's more to this than meets the eye. New Orleans would've had to offer other players as well so the salaries would be within 10% of each other as per the NBA CBA.

The report that I saw said it was salary cap considerations that kept the deal from happening. Not necessarily Babcocks fault.

Maglore has made it clear that if given the opportunity he would love to play here in front of his family and friends. Do you not think that if there was a reasonable deal there Babcock would have made it? Man, these stories are getting a little much. He's got a plan...let him execute. 3 years from now we'll re-evaluate. This franchise and the sports media in Toronto have been very reactionary in the 10 years they've been here so lets set a course and see where we end up.

And he would make more money here then in the US. In the US Magloire he is lost in the sea of superstars. If he gets an endorsement it's leftovers. In Canada he gets the meat and potatoes. Like you said money talks ;).

When Glen Grunwald was here, the raps ALMOST got Maglore. Maglore's agent expressed to the media that his client was MORE interested in staying in Charlotte, and he ,Maglore, personally said he would rank T.O. as his fourth/fifth preferred destination to play.
But w/ the CBA rules it also made it hard to land Maglore and others in the deal. Don't get me wrong, but I'd personally love to see him here. Sometimes the truth hurts Doc.
As well Doc when u say "these stories are getting a little much" - these are not stories, just facts. I'm just keep'in it REAL

depends how drunk I am
I agree that getting Magloire would've been better than the 2 William's sisters we ended up receiving from New Jersey, but it's water under the bridge and the ship has long sailed. There have been too many 'could haves' in the Raptors short history....unfortunately. :(
