I think everyone is in agreement that the Raps need to add some talent key positions (e.g. centre), lack quality veterans, and lack depth.

Most seem pleased to some degree of the potential that the rooks are showing.

Jury seems out on Mitchell.

Babcock is terrrible.

But let's not forget that Macgrady and Carter crippled the team. Normally when you lose players of that caliber you should get some good draft picks and or players in return.

I don't think people can be blamed for being mislead by T-Mac, I don't think he was aggressively shopped around because there was some belief that he would be coming back. I think the decent thing on his part is that he should have been clear with his intentions.

As for Carter, he clearly dogged it and made himself so undesirable that we got little for him.

Had we gotten half way decent trades for these guys the team should have some decent starters or a deeper bench.... we got neither.

Also, AD and JYD turned into busts.

Plus you have to go further back into Raps history to look at some of the other quality players that we lost over the years.... Christie, Damon, Camby. Or the horrible idea of getting the Dream..... tell me a team doctor couldn't have predicted his short life span for the team.

Even Rose was a bad idea. I never liked him from the get go.

I think the Raps are going to go through 2 more lean years, which may work out in the long run. They should get some decent picks develop the talent and hopefully make some moves with a few of the younger players to get older more proven guys to even out the mix.

Bosh has to be signed or the next 5 years maybe 25-35 wins
a year.
Even if you sign him the chance of a plus 500 team still is in doubt.

Tough sledding for sure but I can not see the light at the end of the tunnel
unless M.L.S.E. brings in a quality G.M. and will pay the luxury tax.

3 questions for the wise roundball quys out there[ not one myself]

If this season plays out with the Raptors picking 1,2 or 3 in next years
draft, the rookies show some upside and we can resign CB4

A) Do you trust Babcock with that pick?

B] Are there any sure shot players avab. in the 2006 draft?

C] Do you see a 45 to 50 win team in the next 3-4 years?

I'm kind of curious ...

With or without CB4 and with the current management in place, how secure do all Raptors fans feel about the team's long term outlook in Toronto? I'm not sure if there are as many cities as in the past whoring for teams but bad teams and an apathetic bball market seem like a bad mix.
