I just got back from my recent trip to TO. Have not been up there in well over a year. I have some tips that I wanted to volunteer as I believe there might be 1 or 2 other travelers out there that might find this info helpful.

Flight:
By accident I discovered Porter Airlines, they have limited routes, but they do fly between Chicago and many points in Canada which is great news for me. Rates if you prebook in advance are cheaper than what can be found on expedia etc. Its a totally classy old school airline, classic uniforms, small planes, comfortable chairs, they offer complimentary sandwich/snacks and beverage on the flight, the Toronto terminal has complimentary beverages while you wait.

Hotel:
I used priceline and got the downtown Sheraton for 56 a night. I was concerned Id get a shitty room but after sweet talking the check in girl I believe she gave me a bit of an upgrade. The room was small but really nice (I think they all are small rooms there).

Overall:
I had a fun time, attended my business conference, enjoyed some of my other interests besides the hobby. Ive been to Montreal in the last year and had an unbelievable rockstar pse time with a girl, from Boston. Go figure. I had a fun time this trip but it was not the crazy time I was hoping for, I think I have been just pooped so I didn't have the energy, but I have to admit the the luster might be wearing. Will I return? I might, but I'm going to give it a rest for a while. I love Canada, for so many reasons, Im glad the USA has Obama and not that asshat Bush, maybe there is hope the USA yet.

My best to all of you. Many of you have been great to Pm with and for that I thank you.

You think you are price sensitive, I hop on the Go Train and went to the Falls for a few nights to take advantage of the $180 OutCall rates over there :p

I was in T for 5 nights, best to start on a Sunday cause I got a weekly TTC pass for $33 and it even had a bar code strip so I could use the electrictron gates during rush hour.

The Sheraton is hit or miss. Once booking off Hotwire the check in line was quite long and some Asian guy in the gold member check in desk called me over. I got a high floor room, right next to the elevator thou but still for the price I could not believe it. All the rest of the times I got the 12th floor or even the Richmond town. Hotel is very busy, I like the Intercontinental on Front st but its a 5 min walk to the subway. Believe it or not the "best" hotel for price and location is that old Delta Cheslie. For me its best since I was out in Yongesterdam a bit too often, lol.

I'm not so sure anymore about the USA, We need more than Obama, we got a chicken shit congress with billionaire senators who seem not to care about "Joe Six Pack"....time will tell thou.

Funny thing about the Chelsea is that I've seen a few DM girls there, who were using the DC as an incall location. Weird eh?

Well their rates aren't bad..even without hotwire. During the daytime it be no problem to bring a date in, hotel is busy and I notice nobody paying attention.

I was there for Canada Day, hotel was a "party" that night. 2am, music going, doors slamming, could hear many out on their balcony's...the next night thou all was quiet.

Hotwire claims its a 4 star hotel...CAA or AAA calls it a 3 star...I go with a 3 star but it try's, had bathrobes in the room without even asking.
