I have been thinking about the different types of relationships that we all have and how we define them is based upon our mutual expectations.
The relationship I have with the Second Cup girl is very narrowly defined, kind of difficult to screw up. The relationship I have with my wife (yes, I said it) is very, very complex, easy to screw up.
When I interact with an SP the relationship we form is based upon mutual expectations, as with all relationships. We initially start out with a buisness transaction. We clients have certain expectations and we get frustrated if our expectations are not met (B&S, or an SP that does not provide a previously agreed upon service or bad attitude). But, when expectations are exceeded....wow.
I know the girls probably have tons of stories about failed expectations but I wonder what if any of the girls have stories about times where one of us has exceeded their expectations.
