The guy who installed it went out of business. That was Perfect Audio in Pickering, they did great work.
The symptom is that it cranks but won't start. When I had my first one installed, it took a 30 second adjustment to fix it when this problem occurred.
It worked reliably for 18 months, then stopped fairly quickly. I would have thought that if it was weather related, this current warm winter would have meant it should start anyway. It does not start even when warm. However, sometimes it actually starts no problem, maybe every 20th attempt. I have nothing to lose by trying in the mornings.
It starts easily with the key and in fact, if you put the key in the ignition and use the remote, it starts.
I have a 2004 Toyota Corolla with one of those hated security keys with a chip in them. Maybe the key that got consumed in the installation has fallen almost out of reach of the sensors??
Does anyone know of someone who could do this on a quick cash basis, preferably in the north GTA (I am in Newmarket)
Thanks
