It’ll be tough for the girl but she’s probably been prepped and prepared to the hilt…five defendants and more that were there better have there stories straight.
Opening statements from the Crown were interesting...The Crown said she never said No but she has to consent to every act, I'm curious if she lying naked asking "Does anybody want to have sex with me" is blanket consent? If consent for every act is required than those players are guilty of everything.

From what I know about the WJC trial, the defense has not denied that sexual acts took place, but each of the defendants has entered a not guilty plea.
Based on your own post, (#150), about the Crown's opening remarks, the cases seem to be based on whether or not the sexual acts were consensual. The prior thread which I linked in post #153 is largely about what is and is not considered to be sexual assault.
Seems pretty straightforward to me. Puck bunny opens her legs for any hockey player on the World Juniors team. Several decide to hit it. Not a single one asks for her number afterwards. Puck bunny cries rape after. Police investigate. Determine puck bunny is full of shit. Decline to press charges. Years pass. Politicians pressure police to reopen investigation because muh social justice. Charges laid.
