Rob Ford is a train wreck who needs medical and psychological help but he cannot resign. He has to protect his brother.

It's not sad. They're thugs. I feel for the city, left powerless and humiliated by these clowns.
It's like feeling sorry for Joe Pesci in Goodfellas.
I don't disagree with you that Rob Ford behaves in a brutish manner with uncontrollable appetites however he does care about his community. I know this from the 2003 blackout as a neighbourhood watch volunteer. Doug Ford is an entirely different matter.
Which community is the question?
HIS community of criminals. drug dealers and gangs OR the OTHER communities of criminals, drug dealers and gangs?
HIS community of developers, corporate and private interests OR the OTHER community of citizens, neighborhoods and the public welfare?
HIS community of 'at-risk' youth who he 'payed' to coach and then dismissed as a bunch of 'black drug dealing, 'parentless', gang-bangers OR the OTHER communities of 'at-risk youth' from whom he voted against each and every program to direct and assist them, except the 'lock em' all up and throw away the key!" program.
