Went to Burlington Ribfest yesterday. Two thumbs up!!! I've only been to one other Ribfest before and the Burlington one was much more of an event. Two stages for live music plus all the ribs, cotton candy, funnel cakes, corn on the cob, etc., etc., etc., that you can shake a stick at. Also very professionally organized with plenty of cops around to keep out the trouble makers. Very clean too!

I highly recommend it and it's on thru Monday.

Sounds amazing.

Did you have any with Sauerkraut?

My Dad (German Background) has a wicked Rib with secret sauce and Sauerkraut recipe that he cooks up every summer.

Mmmmmmmmmm......Ribs.

Take the Lakeshore Line Go Train, westbound to Burlington Go Station: $7.50 or so one way / $15.00 or so return

Take the Brant St. Bus to Lakeshore Blvd and hop off. Cost is about 50 cents or $1 with your Go Train ticket.

Ribfest is just on the other side of the Travel Lodge Hotel. You should be able to see it from the corner of Brant & Lakeshore.

Last Go Train back to Toronto from Burlington is about 11pm.

Have fun!

I gave it a try today based on this recommendation. Didn't expect much, but it was actually really good. good live bands, drinking outdoors by the waterfront (I didn't even know burlington had a waterfront) and the best ribs I've ever had. I mean really-good, award winning texas ribs. The ribs we eat in Canada are a joke in comparison.

The only negative is that its a bit of a 'hamilton' crowd. (lots of drinking and hamilton types that look like they might pound you if you rub them the wrong way)

It's definetly worth a 'rib-run' every year though, thanks Keebler.

Best Ribs ever?? I am glad you enjoy it .... my kids always tell me my ribs are better then the ones we get at RibFest .... we usually do the Scarborough and Mississauga one.
I generally find the ribs at RibFest ... ok not "WOW" .
But as i said glad you enjoyed them and to each there own.
