The results look pretty bad, never mind the expectations. I know i'm gonna get alot of heat for this but just looking at the results for what they are i wouldn't touch these shares with a 10 foot pole. I highly doubt BB10 is really light years ahead of Apple or Android, I might be wrong but I haven't seen a solid product. You have desperate engineers singing, the fact that the company has liquidated some of their balance sheets assets to cash and relief that they didn't push back their "secret weapon" again... and the stock pops 20%... But is down even more the last 6 months.

Is it the Nortel bounce? 0.60 to 6.00 to 0.

Happy trading

I don't know... all the great engineers now work for Apple or Google, the R&D budget is much bigger at the two companies versus RIM. Really from an investment perspective why would you invest in RIM? Unless it's just a gamble.

remember the playbook? It was light years ahead of the ipad and got delayed 18 months and missed the party.

I'm sorry to hear that, when do the puts expire? It opened higher and faded into the close. Thus if the market corrects this will get taken down with it.

Depends on how far out he bought.

Theta (time decay) is a bitch.

The fact that it went from 20% pre market to 5% to close says investors realized RIMM currently is still fucked.

I think BB10 the new operating system, will keep them afloat. They are releasing everything AFTER Xmas...which boggles my mind. They are missing huge dollars and a lot of entry level people buying that time of year. The Blackberry Forest, Black Forest book...whatever they've code named it is also coming out 2nd quarter or later. It's supposed to be larger than the playbook.

I"m a BB user and fan, I hope they stick around.

Here
I have been watching it for a while... $6.10 a week ago... high of $8.05 yesterday... closed at $7.52... high trading volumes...

With that kind of a volatility an educated gambler can make great profits!

But I am still chicken :biggrin1:!!!
