Actor, John Ashton who made a career out of playing LE characters has passed at 76, best known for playing straght laced cop , John Taggart, in the Beverly Hills Cop movies.

This is so true. Just a couple years ago, I rarely knew the names of people posted. Only if they died young. But now, I’m seeing that I know most of them in some way.

Martin Brest directed both Beverly Hills Cop and Midnight Run, with John Ashton is both. He was better in the later film playing a rival bounty hunter to Robert De Niro. It has a great ensemble cast with Dennis Farina playing a mob boss who wants the head of Charles Grodin. Worth re-visiting.

This is one of my favorite movies of all time. John Ashton played Marvin a rival bounty hunter to De Niro's character. He was fantastic.
Also enjoyed him in Some Kind of Wonderful he played Eric Stoltz's dad.
