He was an extreme skier.
He probably exceeded the average life expectancy of extreme skiers. He made it almost to 40.
He killed himself when he skied off a cliff and had difficulty releasing his bindings. As a result, he did not open his parachute, and died immediately upon impact with the snow.

He pushed the limits of the sport. He was an innovator, and inspirator, funny, goofy, humble, and just plain cool.

He once performed a backflip in a mogul competition, then got disqualified because backflips were against the resort policy. So he went back up and poached the course, nailed the line, and did the backflip again.....
only thiis time, he did it NAKED!!!!!!
