Hi, I got paint on the side of my car and the wheel wells from when the road contructions guys were painting the lines on the road. Anyone ever have this happen and what is the best way to get it off? I can slowly scrape it off but it will take forever and rubbing compound doesn't seem to work. I guess the best thing to do is not drive around late at night when they are painting the lines on the road :)

Had it happen to me when a bridge was being painted on a windy day.

I went to the construction field office and requested a cliam form for damages. Car was rubed out and repainted as per the states requirement for all contractors to have liablity ins.

I wouldn't use a spray, might damage the finish. For road tar and the like, try a clay bar. With a little bit of car wash detergent to lubricate, works like a charm.
