Rumours on the Fan590 has Ted Rodgers buying controlling interest in MLSE from the Teachers Pension Fund. The pension fund wants out of the Leafs.

Larry Tanenbaum has first right of refusal should the pension fund want to sell and he does not have enough cash...thus Mr. Rodgers.

Rodgers wants to be like Ted Turner I guess.

Judging from the way Rodgers lets the Jays run their own show, I see the Leaf sale as a good thing if it comes to be.
