How many others are having problems with their Rogers cable tv this week especially in regards to trying to watch a recorded program on their pvr and recording something else at the same time. All this week Rogers say they are having technical problems in the Toronto area and that they will fix it as soon as they can. My pvr keeps crashing and it has to be rebooted. Frustrating, as I hardly watch anything live other than a sports show like a hockey, football game etc.....

I live up in Markham and have not had any issues? Call and bitch at them...you pay enough for the service and should be taken care of. The PVR still rocks though! Good luck!

Check your PVR drive space, it may be near capacity.

But more likely, if you have had it for more than a year, it will need replacing.

Call customer service, tell them it stopped working, and that you are taking it to the nearest Rogers store to exchange. No big deal.

thanks for the suggestions.
Just spoke to Rogers, and they said I can exchange the PVR, but no guarantee that would fix the problem as it is apparently an ongoing problem in parts of Toronto. So don't want to give up the 30 hours of recorded programs I have yet to watch. They should have it resolved in the day or so.

I just had that same problem last night (PVR crashes when trying to watch a recorded program while recording a new one). Tried it again today during the day and it worked.

I had this problem about a year ago and it took them about a month before it was fixed (and then they didn't bother to tell me). I hope that it doesn't last long this time.
