State of Inanity
Kinda not TERB content, but maybe someone here knows. I am with Rogers and have their Next Box 2. When the DV PVR fills up the entire thing locks up and has to be reset. That inevitably erases all the programs on the HD. This has happened three times in two months (and yeah, I should catch up on viewing but the HD is pretty low capacity).

Anyone know how to prevent this stupid box from erasing on a reset? I suppose I could add external HDs but from the look of the Next Box it requires an eSATA. Anyone expanded their Next Box with an off-the-shelf external HD? eSATA only?

Thanks!

Some where in Cyber Space
I made a external unit with 500 GB last year and it works great, I've got over 30 hours of HD
Case: Thermaltake (ST0021U) Max 5 Active Cooling 3.5" Hard Drive Enclosure. $34.88
Drive: WD Black (WD5003AZEX) 500GB SATA3 7200RPM 64M Cache (OEM) $89.99

You have to power off your NetBox and power on the external drive first.
Power up the NetBox and press setting.
You'll be ask to format the drive.

Our neighbor is constantly screwing up the programming, or even not understanding what's going on when she tries. New isn't always better. Besides, learn how to download off of torrents and you don't even need a PVR...or cable.

Look at his handle. You really think grandpa is going to figure out torrents?
