Should convicted multiple murderer Ronald Smith be repatriated back to Canada? He is Canadian after all. Since we are allowing Omar Khadr and Conrad Black to come back, why not Ron? I'm sure the U.S, would want to be rid of him.

I'm against the death penalty. He should not be executed. On the other hand, unlike Khadr, this guy was convicted in a fair and open court and has had extensive access to appeal. He should be held in jail until he dies of old age, whether in Canada or in the US.

I agree in general. Any Canadians who go abroad should suffer the consequences of their actions, however, I do feel sorry for those two guys on death row in Iran (or those Canadians kidnapped elsewhere).

I don't leave my morals at home when i travel abroad, and while i respect differences, some things are just flat out wrong. The death penalty should be universally opposed in every instance and in every place.

That said, again, prison is where the guy belongs.

Who was that Florida woman (played by Charlize Theron in the movie Monster) who asked and got the death penalty. It seems her entire process only took a few years. Why is this Ronald Smith thing dragging on for 699 years now?
