Ah, so in your mind Brand is being accused by multiple women because of a covid conspiracy?
No he is being targeted because they want to silence his voice.
Corporate media did an investigation into his past and offered $ for women to come forward to spill the beans, all while remaining anonymous.
My understanding is one of the women went to a rape crisis center the day after, I have no idea what happened after that. It's hard to know fact from fiction these days.
He won't go to prison. He'll be fine.
He's got great connections.
That sounds like a reporter wanting a big, juicy byline to boost his / her career. Not "corporate media" trying to silence Brand.
You need that big conspiracy theory and the idea that one of your heroes is fighting for survival to get through the day, don't you Kirk?
This is what Brand wants you to believe. That he is so dangerous to vested interests that they need to shut him down anyway possible, and paying four women to lie about it is the way they decided to do it. And he's been spending years telling people about the fake news, not necessarily to protect him in the future, but he is sure playing that card right now.
Now, are the women credible? It sounds like they are. And the allegations are disturbing, but also seems/feels like something Brand would do.

Thankfully courts will have all that information; justice isn't delivered by anonymous posters.
The great challenge here is that while one of the alleged victims has come forward, the others choose to remain private. Why? Well, I would wager that there is a chance some of Brand's fans would start to harass them and potentially endanger their lives. I say this based on the reaction some women have received when they accuse powerful men of doing shitty things, like Christine Blasey Ford who accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct. Or they could have their private lives put under the spotlight, where any mistakes they've made will be scrutinized and used as leverage to discredit them.
Now, I believe the journalists conducted a lot of research to verify the allegations as best they can. There is a lot of risk involved by putting out a story like this that isn't verified, reputational and legal. Media outlets that push false stories lose journalistic credibility (with the exception of Fox...), while the legal cost in the UK could be extensive.

Reasons to remain anonymous to the general public are pretty easy to figure out.

If it wasn't for his questioning of the military industrial complex and Ukraine war. Plus vaccine mandates would these accusations even see the light of day?
I'm thinking the bigger and more deviant story is Epstein and his guests but that seems to be buried for good. I expect Ghislaine Maxwell will get a early release soon....
Then why do a 4 year investigative journalist dive into his past?
