That is surreal. And clever. Despicable, but clever.
I figure that the SPCA/PETA/etc. are just going to keep quiet about this so as to not give him any publicity. Then they'll find some pretext to sue him (them ?), giving him the choice of either blowing his money on lawyers and court costs at the very least, or else settling by donating it to the animal-rights group.
